The game's launch roster features over 100 characters from 23 series as well, with additional characters available as unlockable or downloadable content via the Season Passes and Oni from Capcom's Street Fighter series along with various third-party characters as platform exclusives with the execption of Terry Bogard & Geese Howard from SNK's Fatal Fury/ King Of Fighters series being downloadable content as well.
The match ends when one team depletes the other's health bar. Combat functions similarly to the previous Jump fighting game, Jump Force, with players moving around a 3D space and utilizing various combos and special moves to attack their opponents. Much like it's predecessor, Jump Force, Jump Force 2 is a 1-v-1 fighting game where the player controls a team of three characters from a selection of various manga series featured in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Players control one character at a time while the others are used as support, with players able to switch between them during battle. Also, the new leader of the Venoms plans to gain a mysterious artifact and use it to conquer this new world. The Jump Force must recruit new faces & team up with old enemies with the leadership of the hero & a holographic A.I of Director Glover and his A.I. partner Navigator. With the real world & many of the Shōnen Jump universes still combined into one, with more universes added in, the Venoms have returned to wreak havoc on humanity & this time, they are being led by a new ruler.
